Total enrollment is now 36,118.

Freshmen enrollment was up 7% and we retained 78% of the freshman from last year.

How is this football related? These people will start paying the athletics fee.

Just to clarify, UNT Dallas is no longer in this number right? So the true increase of students in Denton is an even bigger number than it seems?

According to the UNT Factbook, the enrollment last year was 36,123, including the Dallas campus. So, we took those numbers out and our increase in Denton enrollment matched the numbers we took out by separating UNT-Dallas.

Wow, if that is true, UTA jumped ahead of Texas State who reached 32,586 this year.

That school has grown immensely the last 10 years or so. I heard it on the radio sometime ago but never realized that had over 30k.

might be a dumb question... why not add UTA bball to the Sunbelt? im pretty sure they dont have football but if they did, they would make a great regional rival. plus we kick there butts in basketball anyways..

I don't think you could convince enough of the existing membership to add another non-football playing school like UTA.

Anyone wanna' bet that a large majority of that humongous student support at the Rice game last Saturday were this year's new record-breaking freshmen class and last years freshmen class, better known as sophmores? The green shirts over on the student side was quite a site for all to see.
