Nathan - I just want to say thank you so much for your dedication to this University and football program. I have watched you since your days slinging it around at Celina and I will never forget your performance in the State High School All Star game. You have been a great player and ambassador for North Texas and I wish you and your family only the best.

Nathan,

Thanks so much for what you have put into the program. You are a class act. I am a little hurt, upset, and disappointed right now. Hurt that your season ended so abruptly. Upset that you became just as injury prone as R.Dodge. And disappointed about what could have been for the rest of the season.

I am sad to see it has come to an end like this.

May you rest in peace.

Thanks for the hard work all these years. Glad to have a local be the signal caller for my (and your) Alma Mater. Please don't be a stranger to the NT Campus in the next few years.

Get well soon Nathan.

Maybe your little brother Clayton will play here in a few years! He's a pretty awesome QB for Celina's peewee team, he's #7:

Nathan...You proved yourself. It is obvious that you were the proper choice to guide the team and we were behind you 100%. You should feel very good about that and look back on your accomplishment (winning the starting job) with pride. Last night I realized that as badly as I wanted to win, your health was infinitely more important. Get well soon! Go mean green!

Nathan, your leadership and courage on the field, particularly during the last two seasons, was this fan's pleasure to watch. May you heal fully and be ready for the game of life. That is the biggest game of all and your attributes will make you a winner in that one too.

May God bless you.

Thanks Nathan....for representing us so well.

Anyway, maybe there's a chance Nathan's career isn't over? He could definitely qualify for a medical redshirt...time wise (2nd game of the season).

Finally, get well soon.....

Thanks, Nathan. Also, keep bumping this throughout the day even if you already posted. Need more stuff like this at the top of the board.

Thoughts and prayers are with you, Nathan. Thanks for the leadership you have shown and for all you have done for the Mean green nation. get well soon so you can help lead the Mean Green through the season in the film room, in team meetings at practice and on the sidelines for game day. UNT needs your leadership more now than ever. It has been my pleasure watching you play for the Mean Green.

Hope to see you back with the team soon.

GO MEAN GREEN!

Thank you for being the good ambassador for North Texas.

A quality that stands out in you is perseverance which I hope serves you well during this time. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Don't worry about the season. The most important thing you can do now is to take care of yourself and not push it to try to get back for a few games. Like SUMG said, there is always a medical redshirt.

Nathan,

Much thanks for your hard work, dedication, patience, and class you have displayed here at North Texas! All the best for a healthy recovery, and in your future endeavors in life! You truly are a class act, and have made our Football Team and University proud, as well as your Family! Take Care!

Whatever he chooses after his recovery, I think Nathan Tune is the kind of player, teammate and human being everyone on the squad should look up to. He did everything right: worked hard, waited patiently, and was ready when he was called upon.

It really makes me think of Job, in a way. An extremely pios and successful man just gets hammered by bad luck and tragedies - proof that doing things the right way doesn't prevent life's woes from reaching you.

But, like Job, I think Nathan will continue to be who he always was. And that is why he will be ultimately successful in life.

Wishing a speedy and complete recovery.
