They did it!! If I recall, they won the FBS championship once. Virginia is a unique state. It is rather large but only UVa and Tech play D1 football. The others--JMU, William and Mary,and Richmond play some great FBS ball. Former Sunbelt team Old Dominion in Norfolk just resumed football after an absence of 40 some years. In their first year, they went 9-2 in the FBS. They will be a powerhouse one day.

Oh I don't know about that. Didn't Michigan have a shot at a share of the Big 10 title the last game of the year after losing to App State? Va Tech could still win the ACC and be sitting in a BCS bowl game.

Unless you're the Texas A&M Aggies, one game does not a season make.
