Great weekend of SBC football coverage. Too bad UNT isn't included this week. I am also glad to see some major conferences traveling to play SBC teams.

Michigan State vs. Florida Atlantic

Well...one major conference is traveling to a SBC school---Rutgers (Big East) at FIU. The Florida Atlantic "home game" with Michigan State....is being played in Detroit. And the ULM "home game" with Arkansas....is being played in Little Rock.

Thanks for the clarification of the homes games. I had no idea. Still good media coverage nonetheless.

And Rutgers is doing that because they recruit out of Miami with Greg Schiano ties in that area. So this game is really perfect for Rutgers.

      as Pac-12, Mountain West and American Athletic Conference plan their futures One thing I disagree with is if Memphis and Tulane go that the American would only add Air Force to replace them. I still would expect the American to add additional schools from the Midwest or east. I just do not see how they can sit back and not attempt to put together teams that can challenge the top teams from the new pac

      Did we dump the 3-3-5 for good?

      Everybody is run heavy against a 3-3. Too many gaps, not enough dudes to fill. It's a math problem. 3-3-5 was designed to fit those specific 11 players. We've been trying to fit our 11 into that specific scheme. Good coaches do what is best for their kids at that moment. Poor coaches try to fit square pegs into round holes.

      Tulsa Spread

      Edit: Tulsa looks worse than Wyoming on defense. Their offense may be more potent but I wouldn't say by a wide margin. If we stick with a 3-4 scheme, I think that might fix a lot of our defensive woes, mainly the run.
