nothing wrong with going for a win. on the road, you go for the win, not the tie. i realize that this was basically a neutral site, but navy was the road team...GO FOR THE WIN LIKE JACK STATE DID!!!

would we have said that Solich outcoached us if Ohio didn't win off a two point conversion last year? I doubt it. But, since his risky call worked, he was seen as someone who called the better game.

It wasn't a good or bad call for Navy. The only thing wrong was that it didn't work out.

hindsight is always 20/20. Plus, you assume that the field goal is a guarantee. I argue that it is no more a guarantee than trying to get a foot beyond the line of scrimmage.

Felt bad for Navy, but that last play did not lose the game for them. Their inability to get the ball in the end zone due to turnovers, etc. is what did it for the Midshipmen this time. The Navy QB had a pretty bad day overall for a so-called Heisman candidate. He's a good QB and will re-bound and Navy will have a decent season, but I sure hated to see them actually give this one away to a not-so-good Maryland team.

Navy will run all over Army again this year! Count on it! BEAT ARMY!

      If so, I will discuss with my employer changing to a NIL arrangement. I could always sign up for an online class and claim to be a pickleball player for SmallTown Community College.

      So players can make more than coaches and have their room and board also covered, yet they should not pay taxes, and we will continue to tax the coach's salaries? It's an idiotic idea.

      Should Spring Games be Eliminated

      If a decision is made to change the portal window to once a year, and that is before the spring, then yes, continuous spring practice. However, with the current setup, I would not have the spring practice or at least a spring game in anything public. G5 schools are the hunting ground for the power schools to try and fill their needs that they discover after their spring practices.

      Morris, Football Add Two Signees on February Signing Day

      DENTON, Texas – Head coach Eric Morris announced the addition of two new student-athletes to the UNT football team on National Signing Day Wednesday. The Mean Green added Bryce Garza our of Wolfforth, Texas and Terrence Lewis from Brenham, Texas. The pair of signees join the nine other additions who signed in early December to make up an 11-person 2025 high school signing class. “We really like this entire group of high school players we signed,” Morris said. “We got bigger in a lot of areas. We addressed some needs that we had on both sides of the football. Everyone saw it this past season, we played 10 true freshmen in the bowl game. So being able to get this group of players added to improve our roster for 2025 is big.” In total, nine of the 11 high school prospect hail from the state of Texas while two played high school football in Oklahoma. Two of the high school prospects, Chris Jimerson Jr. and Jaden Manning, enrolled at UNT in January and will compete with the Mean Green this spring. The remaining nine players will join the Mean Green in the summer of 2025.
