No new injuries in soccer

The very good news is that Ridenour doesn't need a cast for her fibula broken in practice by an overeager team mate/ friend. As our own Zeke suggested it is being treated with an Ace type bandage. I don't have a prediction on when she can return, and I don't see her playing in the season opener, but it might be possible.

The idea of playing soccer with a broken leg just flat scares me. I like to think of myself as a big tough macho kind of guy, but I know that if I had a broken leg I'd be in bed demanding that my every whim be catered to.

i would be willing to say that ridenour might be out the whole season??

it is n't the bone that the weight is put on but yet it still is a broken bone and just cause it doesn't need to be set cast doesn't mean it won't take a month or two to heal and then she still needs to get back to shape! she can't rain with one leg! and don't give me the excuse anybody of training in a gym with weights it does help with her strength but does not replace onfield training! will she be a scared player now that she is injured as many are very nervous about receiving any contact after they have been injured and return back to play!who knows! too many what if's what is she gets hit her first game back and shatters her bone cause it wasn't properly healed and then what she is done ! too risky let the girl heal get her back in spring and wait till next year red shirt her save her year!

I have to say that as much as I would hate to lose Carrie, that is my reaction. If it was my child I certainly wouldn't be interested in her returning to play if there were any danger of a further injury.

ascchamp, I'm interested in where you play and how you would allocate the returning players.

To be honest i would love to tell you where i play! all i can say i play college ball, i am entering my 3 year in college and am thrilled to almost be done! I am form the metroplex area and was involved in club soccer for god knows how many years! I knwo many college coaches and players and i feel know just as much if not more then any college player and then some coaches. I am lucky to have the experience which i have and know the people which i know!

I knew that Phil won the championship last year, I also knew that FIU won the year before. If you know anything about thtat league, I'd love to know what you think about FIU this year. Of course I'd also love to know if you know anything about their women's team.
