Excellent, and, yes, a great idea. I have been talking about "why" one should donate and help in any way they can, and that is because of the help it gives to UNT students (athletes and non-athletes). I am constantly amazed at the excuses I get when I ask folks to support something/anything from the Mean Green Club to our Alumni Scholarship Fundraisers, to the Alumni Association, to their academic department, or the GMG.com Bowl scholarship fund. You know, it really doesn't matter what the event or product is if you support UNT student athletes and students. It's the idea of supporting some great students and a great university. You may not need a mug, may not like the color or the slogan on the t-shirt, may not be available the day the GMG.com Bowl is played, etc., etc., but the point is..the cost is small and the benefit is great. Same goes with the Mean Green Club and the Alumni Association. These are all great ways to support the university and none of them cost that much.

On a side note...this last Saturday the Denton Alumni Chapter was provided a table by the athletic dept. (thank you RV) from which we could sell our mugs, poster and t-shirts. We had a very positive response from a great many people which was very good to see. Just wanted to say "thanks again for the support".

Glad to see the "faces of the athletes" in this video. It should bring it home to everyone who supports UNT. Great job!

      If EM goes back to a 3-3-5 after having some success with the 3-4 alignment, I’m gonna be upset. We’ve seen that defense continue not to be effective and we keep running it out there. We finally did something good and we’re to deviate from it? That would tell me the kind of coach EM is.

      Did we dump the 3-3-5 for good?

      It was the right call. Wyoming had big tight end sets and it would have been silly to have the 3-high look against it. For what it is worth we held SFA to similar numbers with the 3-high. My eyes told me the 3-4 look was the same "scheme" with the fourth linebacker just taking the star's responsibilities. In the defense's playbook, that mostly means you don't have the option to go to some false looks to disguise which safety is playing deep. In reality, the team still can do all the split-field safety stuff (2 high/quarters/2-read/2-man/ etc) stuff. The 3-4 is useful as we have lots of depth at linebacker now. The defensive line is also more effective. I think we'll see some 3-high stuff situationally, as it was primarily designed to stop spread offenses. In our league we have a lot of run-heavy squads so it is not necessarily useful here.

      3-1

      3-1 is 3-1 no matter who you play. They don't put asterisks next to the wins. North Texas football hasn't won a trophy in a while -- since 2014 - jan-1st. I want a league title, and/or a bowl game win. This is a means to an end but I can enjoy the journey along the way. @UNT 90 Grad all our wives look a little better this morning 😉
