So, in today's Wall Street Journal there is a bit titled "Which Colleges Have the Most Star Power?" It lists the conferences by the number of recruiting stars their projected starters for 2010 average. The source is said to be Rivals.com, Phil Steele.

Here we go...can you guess the rankings?

Southeastern - 3.42

Pac-10 - 3.08

Atlantic Coast - 3.06

Big 12 - 3.05

Big Ten - 3.00

Big East - 2.63

Conf. USA - 2.28

Mountain West - 2.11

Western Athletic - 2.03

Mid-American - 1.95

Sun Belt - 1.87

You can decide for yourself how this effects your conference realignment thinking, if at all, but it is interesting to note (at least for me) that the ACC came in ahead of the Big 12 and Big 10. We all know that star rankings don't always mean that much when you strap it on and start hitting at the next level, but I do find the rankings interesting. What say you?
