The Sun Belt Conference announced pairings Sunday for its women’s basketball tournament that begins Thursday and runs through March 11 at the E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Ky.

North Texas received the No. 4 seed in the West Division and will face the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, the No. 5 seed in the East Division at 5 p.m. Thursday. The winner of that game will advance to face Western Kentucky, the No. 1 seed from the East, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

North Texas defeated Arkansas-Little Rock, 71-46, on the road in the teams only meeting this season. North Texas was defeated, 89-85, by Western Kentucky the only time the teams played this season.

It would be huge for us (to beat WKU), but would it be good for the conference and getting two teams in?

I'm thinking the league will probably only get 1 school in anyways.

I hope the win against NMSU carries over. This team has shown the telltale signs of being young by beating some good teams, NMSU, competing with some good teams, WKU, but losing to some bad teams ULL.

Well from now on we'll be playing mostly heavyweights. We *should* bring our 'A' game.

Wow, my mistake. I thought the article was saying the women played UALR and the men played WKU. I withdraw my statement and agree with CMJ that the SBC women will only send one team. Oops.
