You must not get out much at all then. I lived there for 18 years and my parents still live there as well as other family members and you see TCU everywhere you go. Either support from businesses or your average joe wearing a tshirt or hat.

I grew up there, too, and still go back pretty much on a monthly basis for family and friends. The billboards and the newspaper make it pretty clear to most people that live anywhere near FW that TCU is their hometown team. Sure, they battle Texas, A&M, OU, and Tech for coverage, but those schools have huge enrollments, fanbases, and $$$ to follow, which is seen through their coverage by the DFW media. Trust me, though, SMU and UNT would kill to have the support and attention that TCU has been getting over the last dozen years.

agree. I work downtown and have seen many a fall Friday night when the XTO building (old Pier One biildinding) was lit up all in purple for the upcomiing big game. Also many a tome have I seen "GO FROGS" stencillex on huge purple letters in several locations along the banks of the Trinity River. Try going to eat at any casual downtown or W. 7th St. Eatery in the fall and you will be bombarded with TCU football paraphernalia.

Grapevine, colleyville, Southlake, and Keller ain't Ft Worth. Just sayin...
