im already in 2...but a 3rd couldn't hurt...im down.

I'm willing to do it again this year so long as Peyton Manning gives me a written guarantee that he won't sit out any meaningless game 16s again this year. Hate that guy.

To avoid ESPN/Yahoo controversy I set up the league on Fleaflicker here. The league size can be changed so if you can't get in let me know. I encourage everyone to join and post dates that work (or don't work) for a draft date.

It's a Saturday, so work conflicts should be minimal. Doing it in the afternoon lets people handle kids sports but doesn't eat up the whole night. And it's the last weekend before NFL season starts, so the injury situation/starters will be as clear as possible.

Seems perfect.

Only 1 problem , the 3rd is on a friday

And if you meant the 4th , there is a game that day vs Clemson around the sametime

I know it would be cutting it close, but what if we bucked tradition and did it the following Saturday? True, there'd already be the Thursday stuff in the books, but that would make your early draft picks even more important! That works great for me and it would allow us to put our own "twist" on the season and build creed for our league.

I figure we start early afternoon and go into until 8 or 9 p.m. I'll bring "adolt" beverages.

How about February 7th? I know it's a Monday, but it's tough to find a date that's perfect for everyone.

May be a robotics competition scheduled. Coliseum is getting back to me later today to check our options.

No good. I'm from a very strict temple, and I can't draft on the Sabbath.

      Seems like he played better in the first half of the season. But yeah he was extremely good and accurate early on. Seems like our defense should be improved with all the Sam Houston State players. Morris is a great offensive coach but his terrible DC hire will always haunt him as a head coach.

      I am 100 percent with you. Interestingly, Greek life is much more incentivized to go to basketball games rather than the football games. I can assure you that at least 20 Theta Chi's will be at the next game

      How good was Morris's season, overall? Was he head and shoulders above other QB's we've had? It seems pretty obvious to most that he was injured in the second half of the year, which raises questions as to why we didn't bench him instead of cutting our playbook to exclude downfield throws. Here's a look at 4 seasons of QB play since 2018 Season Stats Comp. Att. Comp. % Yards Yards/Pass TD INT Rush Yards Rush TDs Fumbles Fine 2018 301 469 64.18% 3793 8.09 27 5 20 2 6 Aune 2022 145 255 56.86% 2339 9.17 23 9 20 0 0 Rodgers 2023 262 421 62.23% 3382 8.03 29 5 180 5 11 Morris 2024 322 510 63.14% 3774 7.40 31 12 242 4 4 I keep some information about QB's handy to create my own rating system, sometimes I tweak it here and there. All of these seasons are within 4 points of each other on a scale of 0-140. Morris, had two of the highest rated NT QB games i've seen (South Alabama and Tulsa), but also had some real stinkers(Texas Tech and Army). We've actually had 3 consecutive years of very productive QB play (despite the general dislike for Aune). For reference, if you tease out Mestemaker's bowl start to a full season, it comes in just below these seasons, based on my rating system. I put all this up to highlight that Morris was very good here, but he wasn't stellar like we thought he would be after 8 games. I think Eric Morris can shape anything into a reliable QB at this point, next season is going to come down to: -Can we find a defense that can make stops? -Can Eric Morris (the OC) help out Eric Morris (the HC) by putting the rest of the team in better situations (game management, field position, roster decisions... etc.)?

      Ranting about the AD, Students, Attendance and Fan Support

      Jarod is nice. But he needs to kick some students in the backsides to get them to come to games! We had nice Sissoko playing basketball for awhile and he wasn't effective. Now we have focused, intense Sissoko playing basketball, making slams and taking names!
