The interesting part of the latest developments is that UNT's athletic department isn't paying Neinas at all. The money is coming from the president's office. The contract calls for Neinas to spend five or six days working on his report for UNT.

It's hard to think that, at this point in his life, the President's main focus is financial security for himself and his family. One thing of which I'm fairly certain is that he loves sports.

If this leads to full support and buy-in for athletics after the stadium opens, it's one, if not the best, expenditures ever made on campus.
