Lost Another Qb Prospect To South Florida

Matt Floyd became the second 2011 QB prospect with a UNT offer to commit to South Florida (Stephen Weatherford was the other). I guess Floyd is not afraid of a little competition. However with offers from FAU, FIU and Troy, it could have been worse. At least with Floyd at USF we don't have to worry about facing him in a conference game.

To think optimistically, maybe whoever is relegated to bench duty (if they both actually commit to USF) will reconsider and find his way to UNT?? Then again, maybe not.

It's sortof a catch 22 if we get good QB play this season it could be tougher. It's funny to hear Todge say it you would almost think Riley was still in the mix. We will see.

Harry, if Thompson or Baine don't lock down the job by the end of this season (and assuming the SLC Con-Man is still here in'11) it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Riley be given another go at QB...and personally I think thats a good thing.
