Assuming this is the real story, isn't it nice to see a coach willing to take a personal, financial hit to help his school. Even if it isn't completely accurate, it makes a very good story. Knowing the coaches and staff believe in a program enough to stay for less money would make me as a donor more likely to give till it hurt.
