A Volleyball Coach To Consider??
Have you looked at McNeese and Points' home records? If you really think Hodge is not doing a good job, than I can't imagine; what NT mbb coach you think was able to do more. Blakeley or McCasland maybe, but neither had to deal with the NIL situation at NT. NT lost in reality all their starters. Sissoko started a lot, but usually was quickly replaced. Hodge has basically started over and has the team playing very good basketball. Being in the top 3 in the AAC will be a challenge for any conference team. I don't think even Memphis with all their advanages have that guaranteed. -

In before lock! First off, I will not excuse the Healthcare companies and foul practices, but It's also not a black and white issue either. I work in healthcare finance, so I see a lot of the behind the scenes stuff. #1 issue is that all government paid healthcare (Medicare packages, medicaid, VA, etc...) usually pay below the cost of care. If we went with those numbers, we couldn't even afford to operate, so are forced to charge private healthcare (UHC, Blueshield, etc...) higher amounts just to stay afloat. If we didn't, you wouldn't be getting your treatments. That's the very horrible ballgame we are playing right now. Private healthcare has a right to profit, it (should) enable growth, support, and eventually lower cost to customers. That's where they failed. They pocketed the cash and didn't give back. Same as price gouging in stores since covid. They won't lower them now that its lining their pockets. Whole economy is f*cked at the moment, turning into an oligarchy. Glad to see we have a bunch of wealthy people soon the be running the country and certainly looking out for the little guys... /s -

Loved everything about your post but I wanted to highlight this section. I believe a lot of the fans on this board want to stick their heads in the sand and minimize the absurd mismanagement of the football program the last 20 years. We have a ton of alumni locally that could be won over. But the decisions made are insulting to the intelligence of people who casually pay attention when the program makes a big move. I harp on Odus Mitchell because his tenure shows dramatically what can be done with hard work and competence. And it is totally incompetent for program with upwardly mobile aspirations to hire first time FBS level coaches. And what is worse when we do hire a FCS head coach they don't hire the best one available. Dodge, Littrell, and Morris were bad hires. They may have been fine when it comes to the X & O of their sides of the ball. We need marketer, Adminstrator and culture builder. They selected the coaches I mentioned like a good functional Air Raid Offense would fix everything. I attended at least 3 home game a year since the last couple of season at Fouts Field and the game atmosphere more dead now than ever in my opinion. You can just feel the disappointment in fans. There is no structural disadvantage here that prevents North Texas from being on par with programs like Louisville, Memphis, Tulane, UNLV, San Diego State, UCF, SMU or USF. -

DC comment is regarding Caponi, I love his new choice, but Defense suffered for 2 years. As for Hodge, think team is a once again middle of the road AAC, losses to McNeese and High Point highlight that and negate the Oregon St and Minnesota wins, should not expect to be a Top 3 team in conference, especially when expected to only be a 1-2 bid conference max
