Possible Mavericks Trade

They are talking about a sign and trade involving brenden Haywood and one of our back up point guards, jj barrage only IMHO, for jermain oneal and Michael Beasley.

I like the idea and because Beasley is a talent but at a PF position that we appear to have covered........ I think we would be able to use him as a trading piece for another move down th line. Jermain oneal is a bit injury prone, a bit on the old side but a solid rebounder still and an effective scoring center. We would still need center help but he is a good inexperience dice option for us there especially if we have to lose haywood

Beasley is athletic enough to play the 3...Jermain when healthy is a better offensive option than Haywood. Since it looks as though Haywood may walk anyway this seems like a no brainer.

I do wonder if Beasley can play the 3... He has always plaid PF so would a position change hurt him? He seem to me like a natural fit at his curren position

If the basketball gods blessed the Mavs this off-season, I would love to get Beasley and Paul in here. I don't mind getting rid of Roddy and even Kidd if it meant Paul coming here. Could we have Dirk, Paul and Beasley a part of our starting 5 next season? My basketball pants would be going a little crazy if that came true.
