Appears we have a road game at Sam Houston this year as part of a 1-1.

Really liking how this year is shaping up, schedule-wise. Tech and LSU, another round with UTA, SHSU a year after their appearance/RPI respectability (but after their coach is gone), should get Rice at home (unless that happens next year)...

Much, much better than what we found ourselves stuck with last season.

We should have our lowest RPI in years by the end of the season

Houston plays non-conference home-and-home games during the same season with Sam Houston. Why don't we do the same thing with UTA, and eventually TCU and SMU?

These games make too much sense and build fun rivalries. Remember, Tobacco Road was not created by the schools refusing to play each other. Rivalries are good for all schools involved.
