I drive an hour+ through DFW traffic to get to games. Parking, ticket entry and concessions are super easy. Traffic is a different story and I know most alumni aren’t going to fight through that. Some will.
The lack of Greek presence at UNT basketball games blows my mind. Go to an SEC or Big 12 basketball game, the Greeks are fighting each other to support the team the most. We have a big Greek community at North Texas. I’ve never seen them at basketball. Culture has to start somewhere. The athletic department needs to reach out to the Greeks and come up with a plan to get them to games. If you can get the Greeks, I promise, the rest of the students will come like a snowball rolling down a hill.
