I know from their success on the field that Troy might seem to be an attractive option for conference realignment. But, based on their APR/academic exemptions are other Presidents/AD’s really going to want to bring in someone who could have perceived recruiting advantages?

While Troy has had success in football, they bring questionable academics, little in other sports and nothing as far as media market or location access.
