16 year old Abby Sunderland, who was trying to become the youngest person to sail around the world is now missing in the Indian Ocean, approximately 2,000 miles from both, Madagascar and Austrailia. Ms Sunderland activated two emergency beacons on Thursday. The closes vessel to reach her is 40 hors away. Let's all pray she is ok. This doesnt sound good at all. The possible good news is that the emergency beacon which is designed to trigger automatically if the boat is submerged has not activated.

They got in contact with her today. her boat's mast is broken, but the hull is fine and so is she. She might be able to get picked up Saturday.
