Does Missouri end up on the outside of the Big 10 expansion??

If this happens and the Big 12 breaks up, could the Tigers go from Big 10 dreams to MWC/C-USA???

I really hope so. They got their panties in a wad over bowl placement and what they viewed as preferred treatment ot UT, OU, KU, and NU. Well, the reality is that they have historically been mediocre in both football and basketball. I believe that no school has made the NCAA Tournament without making it to a Final Four than Mizzou. They are the biggest university in a populous state with no other D-1 school, yet they couldn't do anything of note in the Big Eight/Big XII until Chase Daniel got there, which also coincided with Nebraska falling off the map. When they played a South school, they got hammered in football. Then the Big Ten makes overtures their way and they basically started all of this mess for the Big XII. I heard that if the Big XII could have still stayed together, the other schools were ready to kick them out. They have flaunted this Big Ten invite big time to the other Northern schools--especially the Kansas schools, but also Nebraska, but it now sounds like they are going to get left out. It would be sweet justice if Mizzou has to go to CUSA or the MWC, especially if the Kansas schools do go to the Big East and stay in an AQ league. At least KU and K-State have done something in the two main sports (National Championship in hopps, BCS bowl wins for both schools). Mizzou is the picture of underachievement--and the Big ten is realizing that now.

      Fun bowl games, not quite so fun playoff games. Maybe there's still something to be said for the bowl games after all.

      Another NIL Coaching Casualty

      It will take some time for the fans of these schools to adjust to losing a few games a year when they're in the new "P2" consisting of maybe 40 teams max. However, filling an average 80k stadium for maybe 20 games/wk is only about 1.5M people demanding tickets for each week's game. Out of over 300M people, I suspect they can still keep filling the stands, other than the few days of "dud" games or bad weather. Now, I'm not sure about TV ratings, but there's so many T-shirt fans of these top 40 schools that I think they'll still watch. I hope this greed and the extreme powering of the top few schools ends up biting them in the a$$, but I'm afraid they'll be successful. I don't mind them breaking away, I just wish they'd be forced to give up any relation to the school. Go create a stand-alone semi-pro league independent of the universities. I haven't followed pro sports in decades, but my quick check shows the Cowboys have been varying between 6-9 and 13-3 for the past 20 years with minimal playoff success but from what I hear, they have plenty of demand for tickets, even when they suck. I realize they are a somewhat special team, but then again, so are these P2 teams, so I think the comparison is reasonably legit.

      Lot of fun bowl games so far. Toledo vs Pitt last night was incredible. This was another great game as well.

      Portal QB Emmet Brown - San Jose St

      Think this is staff trying to balance the QB Room out Have a 1 year starter, plus solid backup, the back up plays Sr Year while Jimmerson is the back up. Then after a few years to develop Jimmerson is ready to rock. I think Jimmerson may win the job as a RS Freshman over this guy. But it provides you with some solid QB play for competition as well as depth.
