Denver Post reporting that Pac10 is issuing an invite to Colorado at a press conference this morning and that CU will accept regardless of what the rest of the Big 12 does.

Denver Post breaking news

I just read this on espn, what a great day. USC is banned for 2 years from a bowl, and the big 12 is falling apart.

OK, so why does that make it a great day?

At the end of the day I fear the non-AQ conferences will be pushed farther away from the BCS Bowl mix

Absolutely true. The "new" power conferences will band together so that they can horde all the BCS money for themselves. I hope they overstep their bounds and end up with some kind of federal investigation.

The Big 12 splitting up is the worst thing that could happen for the non-AQ BCS conferences.

Worse than Texas winning a national championship?

---College sports has changed so much... now it is ALL about money.. If this happens then regional pride is pretty well gone and we will be down to four mega confereneces.. Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, K-State and maybe Missouri look to be really screwed.

---The Big-12 could operated with ten [problem-- no end season conference championship game] or maybe add a couple.. Memphis makes sense basketball wise for the north, not so much in football. the seoond team could be anyone... but they would need to be considered in the north... TCU or Colorado State maybe.?? TCU (small) would put metroplex in the mix and SMU is hated for what they did in the SWC. Crazy situation.

--If it falls apart then Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Missouri, will need to join with some others to form a league.. UTEP, Houston, Rice, Tulsa?, SMU, Memphis, and UNT don't look impossible. TCU... they have a lot of travel.... long shots, New Mexico and LaTech.

--CUSA may the worse to be hit with a Big XII demise.

It will sure be interesting to see where all of the dominoes fall.

Look at this way. If a few Domino's didn't fall in Mississippi, our athletic program could have been left in the dust years ago.

Nothing was going to happen for UNT as far as a moveup into CUSA, MWC, WAC etc until something above them happened. Now that it has we have a better chance in the shuffle than we have now. Change is good!

You magnificent bastard. Biggest laugh of the day, in a day of high comedy.
