this looks like the making of a new Mortal Kombat movie. i was a huge fan of the games and while i wasnt a huge fan of the movies they were ok...first one much better then the second.

To me this actually looks really cool and i like the style they are going in. i hope they do make this a movie.

Mortal Combat: Rebirth appears to a reboot. Having Jeri Ryan as Sonya and Michael Jai-White as Jax gives the movie a little star power.

Wikipedia shows her as as actress in the movie while the movie is entirely absent from IMDB.com. The Newsdesk on JR's page of IMDB.com does reference the viral movie that came out yesterday though.

Looks like a pretty good translation of the game and not the weak interpretation from the 90s.

I have to say that I liked the first movie... It was a fun flick but not necessarily a good one.

I am hoping that they decide to make this.. but as of now IMDB has no mention of it...
