Revenue & Travel Expense Comparisons

Recommended Posts

I'm missing the point. Why would you compare team travel expenses against just what the NCAA/Conference gives?

I don't know how you could breakdown the revenue between home and road revenue without actually seeing the university's books but, for example, Memphis had total revenue of over $16 million last year. That's still five times their travel expenses. Also, how much of their travel is conference games? CUSA is far too widespread for the amount of revenue generated but so is the Belt.

My point is that unless he can relate travel expenses to the amount of revenue from away games he need not bother.
