The DMN mentioned Maryland, Vanderbuilt and Georgia Tech as possible Big Ten targets.

Question for you fans out there: If you're Georgia Tech, and your consistently competing for ACC titles across the board, you have a large Atlanta fanbase, and you're on ESPN every football game; what do you gain by going to the Big 10 (16, whatever it ends up)?

I know the revenue sharing in the Big 10 is lucrative compared to the ACC, but I think the ACC is a good league that the Ramblin Wreck can be in the upper echelon of, while maintaining status as a good academic institution. Does the cost of sending your women's golf team to Minneapolis, Ann Arbor, Columbus, and West Lafayette get covered by an extra couple of million dollars you gain from revenue sharing?
