So I've had this idea for a while, and as it turns out, it is already in the works. So if it doesn't get lost in red tape and actually happens, please spread the word. The plan is to get COVAD alums to donate artwork to be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to scholarships. In the meantime...the pics a few of you gave me were great, but not very viable for what I want to make. So if anyone has a photo of an athlete with great contrast (strong lights and darks), fairly close up (head shot with shoulders and some chest, preferably in uniform)...AND the pic is big enough to make out small details, please shoot it my way!

      These bowl games are exhibition games, so meaningless they are virtually jokes . Start an all freshman team, or use those guys at the end of the bench that never get to play, or let your cheerleaders play.

      Dept. of Education says Title IX applies to payments to athletes (NIL)

      At one point, it was indicated that NIL would be limited to the actual amount someone’s “name, image or likeness” is really worth: which is not very much at all if it is not “pay for play”. Like, how much would you really pay for someone to retweet a local HVAC ad or show up to an elementary school to read to the kids: maybe a couple hundred bucks or a few thousand max? The players would get their revenue share from the school, but NIL would be capped at true market value. This is heading towards collective bargaining. Wish we could just skip ahead to that part and get a system in place with rules that could be played by and enforced.
