We are discussing strategy and I don't have all of your emails. We have a game plan that is going to be very difficult for #11 and Black Dynamite to defeat. I need to send you copies of our playbook and some White team game film tendancies to go over this week in preparation for the big game...

willie gault always had a touchdown return on kickoffs in that game...i'll take techmo bowl to win it saturday!!!

Tecmo bowl is probably my favorite game of all time.

If you were in the pocket longer than 2 seconds, LT sacked you... forget about extra points. LT blocked those.

I think it is quite appropriate that we are named "The Green Team" as clearly the White Team has all of the star power and we represent the more blue collar working class North Texas Fan. The Green Team was a secret weapon of the Coach Dickey era comprised of second teamers who came in and won some key ball games for the Mean Green. We bring that same mentality to our contest this Saturday against the HIGHLY favored White team. Early Windstar Oddsmakers have the White Team favored by 17.5 -points. To quote a former coach, we will have to be very very lucky and fortunate to have a chance to even BE in this game at all. We will have to execute perfectly in this game to even have a chance to be on the field with them in the fourth quarter of this game and even then we only will have a .00000001% chance of just competing on the field of play. We basically need the White team to make a plethora of mistakes to even have a centimeter of a chance of competing in this game in the 4th quarter!rolleyes.gif

      I missed the creation of the Brown lot. Is this the first year of it's existence? One of our crew went early enough to be first to park in that lot Saturday. He was just carrying a plastic grocery bag of snacks so it worked well for him, priced $15. GMG

      McGill scored in the 2nd Quarter.

      The McGill non-TD was 50/50. With my green glasses on, the ball broke the goal line more or less as his knee hit. The problem was that they didn’t call it a TD and therefore harder to call the TD on replay when that close. The real problem is our inability to get TDs when in the redzone, particularly short yardage. Can’t run for one yard and it’s pathetic. Should never need to pass from the one yard line and if we do it should be some kind of play action misdirection to a block and release TE. The play calling in general was terrible this game. The decision making (on sides kick) was even worse. On a related note, the non-fumble and the PI call were ridiculous. I can sort-of, kind-of see the PI call because it was a bang bang play and refs are human, but the fumble was a fumble and they got it wrong live and on replay. The AD needs to file a protest to the league. That ref should be suspended.

      So was the radio play-by-play. Wish there was a video replay for me to see this. I also wish there was better checks-and-balances. In the NFL, can't a team submit a replay of a call to the NFL office for review, even if it doesn't mean a change in the final score? At least there would be some transparency and accountability. Based on the radio play by play, you would think that giving McGill the TD was a no-brainer, and the game might have ended up very differently. An option offense playing from behind is very different from one playing to keep a lead.. (granted, it was still early in our game)

      No moral victories

      We knew this 3-game stretch of Memphis, Tulane and Army would be tough. We lost by 8, 8 and 11 points. We are another year away (with better players and coaches).
