anyone hearing anything new on the Hotel situation?, who we might play on opening day at the new stadium?, the latest on Dr B...is she still doing anything with UNT?, etc.

Don't expect a decision on the hotel project as long as our government is tinkering with the banking system and the financial markets are still schizophrenic. Corporations are only making investments that are not critically needed. John Q Hammons and company won't be making a deal any time soon. In fact, he is struggling with a contract with his home town of Springfield:

(Springfield, MO) -- John Q Hammons will no longer build an Embassy Suites Hotel at the former downtown arena site. The announcement came late Tuesday afternoon. Hammons blames the economy for his delay in building. In a news release, Hammons says, "Reasonable financing is not available for hotel development and won't be for another 1 to 3 years."

And the John Q Hammons deal with his hometown falls through. Really sad how the city of Springfield has treated him considering all he has done. Maybe it's time to toss the mayor out.
