Come “Meet & Greet” the North Texas Tennis team, who defeated FIU this weekend in New Orleans for the title of Sun Belt Conference Champions and will be advancing to the NCAA Tournament! You’re invited to join Head Coach Sujay Lama, Assistant Coach Jeff Maren and the Mean Green Tennis Team for free pizza and refreshments the Mean Green Tennis Team at the Waranch Tennis Complex tomorrow, April 27 @ 3PM to celebrate this milestone.

Not sure the local HS tennis coaches can afford to lose the practice time, but I'd think they should try and get the Ryan/Guyer/Denton tennis players to go

High Schools should be fine as H.S. tennis is now down to the State Tournament and only one Denton Area player made it to State Tournament.

Yeah it's been about 15 years since i was in HS tennis, and couldn't recall when the seasons ended eactly. Now that you mention it, I think it was usually mid to late March though.

Regardless, I hope some folks can go out to celebrate with the girls.

Didn't know this (guess I had missed it): Mr. Waranch, who donated the money for the complex, passed away in January.

So in a way, this great season is a tribute to him.
