All signs point toward Donald Williams committing to Ole Miss this weekend mad.gif

Damn!

Anyone ever find out where Carmouche's other visit was? No word from the New Orleans paper, no word on any SBC message board I've found.

I'm gonna guess ULM.

You mean like White, Thompson, Williams, Knox, & Holmen?

Plus McGhee, and Mangrum (bye bye), and of course Hogans as the other guy said. We seem to generally be around half and half, with a few of the transfers being 3 year guys.

They didn't have anyone who could recruit him or set up the visit without running afoul of the NCAA. Here's a story about Tulane dealing with a similar problem by having their AD assume a temporary assistant job and passing the NCAA recruiting compliance test.

I thought maybe ULL since they're getting a late run on recruiting due to the Marlin hire... But no word of it on any of their forums or from any beat writers.

Also... I missed this whole discussion because I was a little tied up on Monday, fetching Mountain Dew and Dove bars. But we can't technically get an official transfer from Carmouche for more than two months.

From the January article about UNO's official withdrawl:

Any UNO student-athlete that transfers to another Sun Belt school before June 30 shall be subject to the intra-conference transfer requirement and must sit out a season. NCAA contact rules also require a school receive permission from the UNO athletic director before contacting a UNO student-athlete.

After June 30, UNO student-athletes will be able to transfer penalty-free and play without having to sit out one season.

Carmouche can declare his intentions... But nothing would stop him from changing his mind, because he can't go on scholarship until effectively the fall semester.
