"I also think that San Antonio is a great destination city–it’s a great place to come and play. We have the seventh largest city in the country with no football and we play in the Alamodome, a 66,000 seat stadium. Plus I think it’s also a chance for them to showcase their team so they can have a chance to recruit Texas."

utsa will struggle as a newbie program for a while. but the above perks will move them ahead of texas state for fbs membership. it would be nice to have another texas school in the sunbelch. at least until we move out and up

Not to take a shot at you personally LoveMG, but I'm always inclined to laugh and then immediately get sad when I read posts about how we need out of this horrible league. In the last three years we have beaten ONE Sun Belt team not named Western Kentucky. Yes, one. I'm just not sure how superior I'm feeling right now.

Yeah, but we've beaten WKU three times so that ought to count for something.

While this coming season may not give me any feeling of superiority, it does give me a feeling of contentment. I believe that the 5-31 is behind us, but if it's not, I'm feeling good about the next coaching hire. With a new stadium and increased funds (thanks to the students) we should be able to hire a proven commodity. Even if we lose, we win. Is this a great country, or what?
