Does North Texas still host the Mike Kunstadt Great American Shootout during the summer? If so, there could be some NCAA rule changes that could give us a recruiting advantage. This could really be beneficial considering how many roster spots should be available following the 2010-2011 season.

INDIANAPOLIS -- College basketball coaches no longer have to shy away from potential recruits during summer camps and clinics on their own campus. On Tuesday, the NCAA's Legislative Council announced it would allow coaches to have "recruiting discussions" on campus, loosening a rule that was nearly impossible to enforce anyway. The change does not mean coaches can go into full recruiting mode, but they can converse with players they are actually recruiting.

They just made a rule change (several months ago)....that the Summer Shootouts...can no longer be on college campuses. So we will no longer host it in Denton.

It's being hosted in the Great Southwest area (Duncanville, Desoto, Cedar Hill and Lancaster). A lot of the games are being played at Bob Knight's Fieldhouse in Duncanville (the old Dr Pepper StarCenter).

Check it out Great American Shootout.
