He was running some with the second team OL. And he looked both huge and agile out there. The roster listed him as being 6'5", 320....a sophomore from Sacramento (via Medorino College--a juco?)

Anyway, I googled his name. As a senior in high school at 6'5", 285....he was athletic enough to play center on the hoops team.

Anyway I know we didn't sign this guy on any signing date. He was just one of several guys who played today, who weren't signed by us...who looked like possible contributors. (I'm assuming all walk-ons).

John, I had looked him up earlier and found that that he played at Mendocino CC (Ukiah, CA) as a freshman in 2007. I don't know where he's been the past two years but he hasn't played anywhere since he's listed as a sophomore in eligibility. He does appear to have been eating regularly.

This kid looks like he should make the squad coming out of spring camp. He's a large body, with long arms whos effective in pass pro, as well as having a bit of a nasty streak in him while run blocking. He definitely has good feet for a man his size.
