College Football With No Cussing?!?

Recommended Posts

No cussing allowed

Baylor basketball coach Scott Drew has a no-cussing policy with his team. And junior LaceDarius Dunn claims that he’s never caught his coach breaking that rule.

“He’s not that guy,” Dunn said. “He’s not the guy you’re going to see cussing and just throwing a temper tantrum. But even if you do something bad on the court or make a bonehead play, he won’t do those things or say those type of things.”

Drew wouldn’t quite go so far as to say he has a perfect record with the policy and said he simply wants his players to be good role models and good examples for younger kids.

“When you mess up, you’ve got push ups,” Drew said. “So you can probably tell, the strongest guys on the team, they cuss the most.”

We have had two coaches who Turner Gill would have enjoyed being around. Odus Mitchell allowed no cussing and I don't think that Dennis Parker did either.

....and then there was your old boss...Corky Nelson.

AND on a personal note. I am proof that you don't have to cuss at someone to get their attention at a football game. B)
