Basketball tonight

If any of yall are bored and/or on strike from Joe Millionaire tonight, my old HS Callisburg is playing a playoff game at Ryan HS against Peaster at 7.

If you enjoy good small town hoops, this will be a good game. I don't know about Peaster this year but Callisburg has a couple of players that really stand out and one could play some small college ball.

Callisburg is having a good year- the football, volleyball, and both basketball teams made the playoffs and they are returing pretty much all thier regional qualifiers from track last year.

Oh well, I talked about the Wildcats more than I planned on, maybe I will see some of you tonight.

After they advertised last week as the final show and I wasted an hour of my life only to learn they flat out lied (I thought false advertisement was ilegal?). So I am on strike, but I prolly would have gone to the game anyway.

Callisburg won 46-37. Was a pretty good game, Peaster isn't what they were when I was in HS (State champs 99-00), but they hit a few threes. Cale Trail and T.J. Janke were too much. Callisburg might make a little run this year.

I saw the tall guy who wears glasses play AAU ball at the shootout last summer. He played in the top division and did just fine against the big-school guys.

Callisburg plays in a great district. Krum couln't make the playoffs out of that district this year.

I saw Krum play Gunter, and Krum has fallen a long way. Hamm got out at the right time, they had one talented player and Callisburg has three better than him. Never thought I would see Callisburg beat Krum and Peaster in the same year in basketball.

What do you think Cale's future is? I think if he works hard (key phrase) he could be a good small college player.
