All of his studs are coming back so I bet he'll stick around for at least one more year.

Agree. If the Soph comes back, Butler will surely be ranked in the top 5 to start the season. He is a young coach who is in a great position to get one more year of experience coaching a very good team.

Then again, thereis no gaurantee that Butler has the same tournament success next year, and expectations will be off the charts.

But, it all comes down to the right situation and the almighty $. If he gets the chance to go to a Big 6 school, and they throw enough money at him, he will be gone.

Apparently he turned down Phil Knight and Oregon tonight. I don't think Stevens is leaving this year anyways. Perhaps he's gonna wait for one of the real blue bloods(Kentucky/Kansas/UNC/Duke/UCLA/Indiana) comes calling. He's young enough that he can wait 5-10 years if he needs to. Or maybe he's gonna pull a Few and stay there.

I don't think he'll be leaving for his dream job at his Alma Mater any time soon. DePauw is not quite on par with the other schools courting him. Having said that, I don't see him leaving the state of Indiana. It's home. If he does, I'm sure he will come back as soon as he gets a chance. I would not be surprised if Crean doesn't work out, that Indiana U. comes calling.

I think he'll stay and make another run at it next season. If that season goes any where near as well as this last one...he'll then probably leave. The $$$$ they will throw at him to move will be just too much to turn down.

Wow. I guess we will be seeing lots of Butler on the highlight reels for the next 10 years or so. He just added a ton of stability to a growing program. They will dominate the Horizon for a long time IMO.

How refreshing is it for a coach to realize that happiness is not always found chasing the mighty dollar. Kudos to coach Stevens !
