This team has gone from looking like they can beat anyone to a charity case, only making the playoffs because Oakland and Anaheim are just as awful. Unless there's some drastic changes in the next few weeks, it'll be another year of exiting the playoffs without a series win.

I think the perfect S storm has hit them on all cylinders. Nobody is playing well other than Murphy, Hamilton and Wilson. But of course Ham is hurt and Wilson cant have dominating outings every start. They are lucky that Oakland and Anaheim are just not good this year but after the last couple of days, I think Oakland is telling themselves they still have an outside shot. If Oak plays tonight and wins then they are only 7 games behind and I know there is still at least 1 series left with them.

As for exiting the playoffs without a series win...it will suck but I am okay with that. This organization is known for losing and making the playoffs after 11 god awful years is still major improvement. But as you said there is still time and I still have hope that they will fix some things up and get on a slight roll before seasons end.

Good grief Vernon Wells kicks our asses every time Toronto plays us. What is his lifetime average against the Rangers, anyone know?

Well Josh was saying that he has never been known to hurt or play well against the Rangers. This season he has dominated our pitching. 8 HR's in 8 games. Yikes.

On the plus side, 6-0 Seattle over Oakland early. Meh.

I would have really loved to see what Nelly's numbers would have been if he were healthy much of the season. What an epic game. This team just keeps on showing more and more balls than in previous good Rangers teams.

I've watched the game a couple of times via DVR fast-forwarding, and I have no idea how they got out of any of those innings with Oliver or Feldman. Amazing. Here's hoping Tommy Hunter doesn't get shelled worse than Burnett while we all watch hang out at Fouts.

Oliver was pretty good even though he's not doing what he did in the beginning of the season...he is still clutch more times than not. As for Feldman...the man just got lucky. He just doesn't look good and every time he trots out there it just seems that hitters get the best of him. But last night I guess the baseball gods were on his and the Rangers side because the Yanks left 31 on base! That is pretty insane.

Well they are even farther out of the wild card than the division lead...so it may be quittin' time for the A's.

I almost want us to slow down. I bought tickets for 9/27 and 9/28 hoping to see the clinch. But, I will still enjoy it happening in Oakland or even LA.

I also have a couple of business trips to New York in mid-October. Last year, I saw the Rangers beat them there. I'm just sayin'...

After last night's game the Rangers are 10-0 when I'm at the Temple. Buy me playoff tickets.

I'm 7-0 and just bought playoff tickets. Slacker.
