The late 70s and 80s had some fantastic games, which is why I restricted time. I hope you don't think I'm devaluing the history of the tournament by not remembering the older classics.

I've watched every final since 1988. So like I said....the most exciting that I've ever seen(I know '83 and '85 were epic, not to mention the triple overtime final between Kansas and UNC in the 50's). There have been some great ones, but I'd rate it above Michigan/Seton Hall, Kansas/Oklahoma, Syracuse/Kansas, Duke/Arkansas, Kansas/Memphis, & Duke/Connecticut(which were all great Finals).

I think mostly because the entire game the teams were basically within 2 possessions of each other. The tension just never let up...ever.
