I'm a numbers guy myself, and I don't think I could be creative enough to make numbers balance like that. Those guys are freaking good!

If I remember right, that means that the school (athletic dept or somewhere else) kicked in some cash to balance out that cash flow. So it was a negative cashflow until the basketball program received those dollars.
