Hey, check out the front cover of the latest issue of Sports Illustrated! In the right hand bottom corner is none other than the Mean green's one and only EPPY! SI has six different covers for this edition. Our area gets Kansas' Sherman Collins, but the BEST part is seeing Eppy. If for no other reason that to see the great Eppy, you should check out this issue!

Way to go Mean green...great PR from getting to the big dance.

Even with the loss yesterday, I think the Mean Green nation as a whole can be very very proud of this team, the effort they made and the great results. It looks great for another trip next season to the NCAA Tournament.

I know, but old habbits are hard to break. I thought by using Eppy...I might get more response. Like I say, old habits, etc. And, I stay confused most of the time just ask drex, SUMG, Quoner, etc., etc.

By the way, my bride laughs at me too every time I call Scrappy...Eppy. She just rolls her eyes and mutters something under her breath that is none too kind...laugh.gif

OK, shame on the person who gave me a negative one for this post...just where is your sense of humor???? Ha! I probably deserved the negative one because I was so focused on Eppy/Scrappy that I missed Josh White being on the cover as well. I see him now...he's in between the legs of Collins. Maybe that's why I didn't see him in the first place...I'm not in the habit of looking in that area. laugh.gif

Man, some of you folks just have no sense of humor AT ALL! laugh.gif

Check out the local news stands at CVS, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, 7/11, etc., etc. Perhaps, if not that, you could try the SI website. Or, some hi-tech GMG.com'er might that a cover shot and post it on GMG.com....anyone. hey, the magazine doesn't cost THAT much! laugh.gif

      I went to the game, again we started slow and accelerated in the second quarter outscoring ACU 27-12. We let them back in it and the lead got down to three points twice. But we went on a game-sealing 11-0 run to take a 66-52 lead as Lampkin took over. One of ACU's starting bigs went out late with an apparent back injury. She's from Bixby, Oklahoma, which is where I've gotten my only speeding ticket, so maybe she deserved it. As for the arena, it shares the same name as SMU's (Moody Coliseum) and looks like a carbon copy of TCU's (albeit half the size). Recently renovated and very nice. The ACU men hosted TXST shortly after. Which we could get some better men's/women's doubleheaders and on the weekend to help boost the ladies' attendance.

      Caponi fired

      Thank you. Might seem crazy now with only two games left in the regular season, but no way you get rid of him at 5-1 or 5-2, and it shows a pissed off fanbase that maybe Morris does care to build a serious contender. However, if Morris's tenure ends in failure, one of the questions I will continue to ponder is "Why did we feel like we had to give an unproven position coach the largest G5 coordinator salary in the first place?"
