.....is pay $280 to reserve tickets to sit here!

ntvskstate10_500x375.jpg

The 4 hour drive back has helped bring my blood pressure back to normal so, that's all I'm gonna say about it.<_<

We did make it home safe and sound as I hope everyone else did also, so that's a positive. It was good to see the great Darrell Daniels and his wife who came in from Kansas to see the game. It was also a pleasure to finally meet GreenGuyBass and hear that voice we all recognize. Without a doubt North Texas has produced some of the most talented people in the RTVF business.

With that, here's to a return trip to the NCAA next year and then a first round win for what is going to be a very veteran team.

Yup. My seat was the TOP ROW of the arena. How the hell did we get those seats?

I waited outside the Florida section and asked fans leaving if they were willing to give up their tickets. A nice guy gave me his seats in Section 109, so I had ended up with a pretty decent seat.

But I was VERY disappointed with the seat I got from the athletic department.

Dang, I thought about doing that...next time!

Same story as above. Anyone know how seats were delegated? MGC level? I noticed a lot of blue hairs at the front of our lower level section and while they may be donating more than my yearly salary, I would have liked to see some rowdy fans down there.

I was told you had to have 45 MGC points to get a lower level seat.

When I looked at my ticket and saw "308 Row N" I was pretty disappointed, but I didn't really expect any better seeing as how I'm a student.

Either way I had a great time and can't wait to do it again.

If its any consolation, you guys sounded great on TV today. Thanks to everyone who was able to make the trip.

So a student got a better seat than I received, and I've been a Victory Circle donor for 5 years. dry.gif

But karma gave you fantastic seats in the end so it all works out. The world works in mysterious ways my friend.

There were guys selling lower level tickets for $20 as I was walking up to the arena. Lesson learned. My ticket was also in section 308. I talked to a guy at the marriot bar before the game, and he received level 100 tickets from the athletic department. I wonder how they went about allocating these tickets. I can't understand why they would charge the same price for considerably crappier seats

I wasn't going to say anything about it, but since the seating frustration has already been brought up... Our seats were not only up in the ionosphere- We also had an obstructed view. From our 5 assigned seats, you couldn't see 30-50% of the damn court because of the fencing and staircases.

Thanks to the good folks who slid down the row so we wouldn't have to go sit in the corner baseline upper deck section just to see the freaking action.

Terrible... Just terrible.

I don't blame the Athletics folks for the godawful layout and the allotted tickets... But next year, I'm going to wait for a section guarantee before I buy from anyone. There were open seats in the lower section on the baseline that cost the exact same amount as what we paid.

NTEdge should be here soon to verify this as she went back outside(with permission to reenter)to ask our AD ticket folks WTF was up with her seats? She was told she only had 30 points, not the required 45 needed to sit down low. She's a football and basketball season ticket holder, a $1,000 a year Mean Green Club donor and she and her husband spent nearly a week in Hot Springs attending the Sun Belt Conference tourney, and yet that wasn't enough? So she too had to sit with us up near the maintenance catwalk overhead, while Lee Jackson and other administration officials and their families and friends sat on or near the front rows down by the floor.

There were plenty of seats open. I know we are all pretty new to this, but apparently - if you don't get a ticket from the athletic dept. there should be plenty available to buy walking up. I definitely had a great time, and would highly recommend making the trip regardless of not having ticket in the UNT section.

I have no problem with allocating seats by membership level, but it's apparent to me that if you were in the upper level you just received a random ticket. There was no thought in giving better seats to higher point levels.

I got a much better seat in 2007 than I got in 2010.

Yup, I'll damn sure remember it for next year too.

Lesson learned!

Apparently our football coach, his family, all of the administration including Lee Jackson, and about 200 others have 45 MGC points. The stadium should get built without issue.

Another reason to hate Todd Dodge? I'll take it.

But not Rodge.
