The best chance to win, by a factor of 4, is to be a 14 seed. CMJ pointed out how little a role "fan support" played in any of the 15 over 2 upsets.

If I remember correctly from the link provided yesterday or the day before, the cheapest ticket for any session anywhere, was $66.

Meanwhile, people could have bought season tickets for $90.

I just don't see a huge mass of fans spending $66 or more so they can drive to Oklahoma City on a Thursday/Friday afternoon.

Even if they do... What are you really expecting as far as a North Texas turnout? 500 people? 1000? 1500?

The Ford Center seats more than 18,000. If we more than doubled our average home attendance... We'd fill less than a third of the place.

The best chance to win a game is to play as a 14 seed.

500 vocal fans is about what we have at home games anyway. Does that not give the guys any kind of boost? If you don't think so, then I guess you win. Give me that #9 team with our guys flying in to Buffalo over the #8 team and the team only having the trip to OKC! Can't wait to get your blogs and pics from up there. Remember your raincoat!

You seriously think it would be better to play Ohio State, West Virginia, Georgetown or K. State ANYWHERE...the Super Pit included...than it would be to get matched up with a Hummel-less Purdue, New Mexico, Temple or Wisconsin?

Wow, so you have as a 13 seed now? You are right, bring any of those likely 4 seeds on.

I went to College Station, Houston, Stillwater, and Hot Springs this year. Arlington isn't much of a trip, but I went there, too.

If we get a 14 seed and I can't make the trip to see it, I'll be sad to miss the game. But I'll be damn glad that we have a much better chance at winning.

I'd rather watch us win on TV than see us lose in person.

I've seen those schools on many 3 lines, but I'll go with Lunardi for ya...you'd rather play Ohio State, West Virginia, Georgetown or Kansas State ANYWHERE...the Super Pit included...than Wisconsin, Baylor, Nova or Pitt?

I'll wait to see who/where we play before I consider how much of a chance we have. Things happen in life outside of statistics.

If we play Baylor, I have a verbal contract that says we get to go ANYWHERE to see it in person.

I'll pack a raincoat and everything. Pictures galore.
