I'm actually disappointed in the attendance figure. That was by far the worst parking situation I have seen for a basketball game so I was expecting a huge crowd.

There was also a Lyle Mays concert at the Murchison tonight.

We average 2716 for the season, lower than the past two years. I think this is aboout what we averaged in our '07 season. Kinda funny our two best teams in this run drew the least.

The crappy OOC schedule and poor start in conference play really hurt. I guess that is the norm of the last several seasons, but maybe people are getting tired of it and it took longer for them to come around and start coming back to games late in the season when the team picks up their play.

I blame that dirty little assassin Lee Harvey Jackson, and his accomplice, Benedict Smith!

i do know i invited 25 people...who all showed....who had never been to a UNT basketball game....every single one told me after the game they will be back for some games next season after tonight! so that's a plus!

Agree about the schedule. I was there tonight but left Dallas mid-afternoon beating the rush. Trying to make a 7pm game on a weeknight from the heart of the Metroplex after a regular work day is a beating. 7:30 would help and be a little better. Fighting it all to see Univ of the Southwest et al scrimmages is also a pain.

I was driving home from the game and heard on the radio about the 4377 attendance figure. I know its a strong good number for UNT bball on any given night.

But this night was special, basically it was senior night, our 20th win, and the last chance for local people to show the team that we support them in the upcoming tourney.

anything below 5,000 tonite was disappointing. We can do better

I left downtown Dallas at 5:25 p.m., took the tollway to 121 to pick up a friend after fighting through two wrecks, hopped on 35 and was there with 18:00 to play in the first.

I predicted 4403. Now I'm taking names of the 26 that didn't show up tonight! dry.gif

Sumbitchin "no-shows". dry.gif

I actually predicted 4321. I believe that would make ME the winner since you went over in this showcase showdown!!
