UNT now tops Belt

hmm strange we get swept by ASU, lose to lowly FIU and then barely beat them yet we head the conference. RPI is about as strange as the BCS rankings.

That is weird. It's almost like they look at all 23 games instead of just those four.

Not to be a smart ass, but what is our marquee win? UTA, TX Southern, Rice? It seems obvious ASU is playing better now with a stronger SOS. I guess the close losses are not so bad.

Oh well #3 in the West but #1 in RPI, hopefully JJ can work some magic between now and Hot Springs.

What's ASU's? Tennessee-Martin? Southeastern Missouri State? Their losses to Indiana State and Lamar?

The highest RPI team they've beaten is... Us. 2nd is... Us. 3rd is Denver.

The SBC has really been all over the place this season. There are some fantastic wins over Top 25 opponents, and the some head-scratching losses. But overall a down year with no team(s) clearly dominating in and out of conference. Somewhat disappointing because it seemed the league showed steady over improvement and started to look like a 2 BID league each season - whether or not we got it, which is another story - or at least 1 NCCA bid and 1 NIT bid.. nonetheless, it does make for exciting conference play.
