Wku ?

You should of seen the head coach of wku try to get his team to win that game then walking off the floor (we've been there before). The anouncers said that they are 1 & 8 on the road! They shot bricks & fouled ulm & lost just like our game with them. They are now shell shocked.

Does anyone have a reason. They like us have good people in the paint- no point guard?

You gym rats chime in, you too George!

Nail on the head. Slaughter is probably the best option McDonald has at the 1...but he's also thier best offensive option so Mac has to keep him off the ball for his scoring. Sally can run the point, but isn't a real play-maker...Crook does very little.

In WKU's defense, they just got Sergio Kerusch back last night...that was a huge void. Last night's game is odd...WKU shot well, rebounded and didn't turn the ball over, they just didn't defend, especially the 3 point line. Very un-WKU.

Going over to the haven is so sad it's hilarious these days.

Since I don't keep up with the Toppers on anything but a general level I can't say for certain. But on a general level they seem to not have very good PG play. Sergio K. has been hurt for awhile, and they've gone downhill since he's been recovering(tho apparently he was going to play last night).

AJ Slaughter has been underwhelming from a leadership department. Topper fans constsntly complain that he's just about "getting his" - and not a guy the rest of the team looks to.

As an aside....there was all sort of chatter last year when Mendez-Valdez won the MVP, and how maybe Slaughter really deserved it - I think this year shows what OMV really meant to that team.

People over there also are suggesting that the team has quit on K-Mac. Just one year ago they were singing the dudes praises, saying he was gonna be their Few, and now they wanna run him outta town on a rail. As much as we might've underperformed to this point in the season - WKU really has.

Another issue they faced was playing some stout competition during a stretch when they had 7 games in 14 days. Considering their issues with injuries are similar to ours, taking on who they played, when they played them, all stacked up on each other... Each game kept getting harder and more taxing than the last.

The 5 game streak that really killed their record was in the heart of that run, with games against Southern Illinois, Troy, us, and two against MTSU, all in a 10 day stretch, 3 of them being on the road.
