Got this quote from a poster on a USF message board.

"I saw them play the first week of the season and the QB looked pretty good, if he wasn't a senior Canales could have some immediate success with NT."

I guess lucky for us he was a freshman, that is if Riley is the QB next year....

I'd pretty well guarantee Riley will be the starting QB next year. Canales wants a dual threat. Don't get me wrong; I love Nathan, and Derek looked good in his 2 minutes of fame last year, but neither of them bring the running threat Riley does.

I agree that Reilly will probably be the quarterback this year....but homing in on Tune's skills and Thompson's skills is an absolute must. If you believe that Reilly gaining 10 extra pds of muscle this winter and spring will stop him from getting injured...you are wrong. We will be seeing more of both Tune and Thompson this year. I would be interested to see the quarterback try out.

There seems to be much talk about the fragility of Riley Dodge and that Nathan Tune is more durable. How so? If memory serves me right, Tune was injured to end the season and sitting on the bench when Thompson came into the game.

Yes, more weight and muscle will help all the players be more durable but saying Tune should start because he is more durable has not been proven to me. This is D-1 ball and quarterbacks get hurt. at
