Josh Allen could end up playing in the Sun Belt

Josh Allen, a highly rated center out of Cedar Hill, decommitted from Minnesota a few days ago. He was one of UNT's targets when the recruiting season kicked off.

I made a call to the coaches at Cedar Hill, and it looks like Allen might end up playing in the Sun Belt.

Minnesota asked Allen to gray shirt. For those of you out there not familiar with the term, all it means is a player delays enrolling until the semester break and then counts toward the following year's scholarship total.

Allen slept on it and decided it wasn't in his best interest to wait until December to start his college career.

Louisiana Tech immediately jumped in and had him in on a visit. Louisiana-Monroe also got in the race early and is hosting Allen this weekend.

The coaches at Cedar Hill said UNT may try to get into the hunt and there is one weekend left before national signing day.

It looks like Allen is likely headed to ULM or Tech at this point, though.
