very impressive indeed, but will TD be willing to give up some control and allow him to run the office with little input? Allow him to place the best players where they belong?

Hope this is correct and TD loosens the reigns.

Canales doesn't appear to be a guy who would take a job where he wouldn't have full control of the offense.

Amazing. A quality coach with college and professional experience willing to come to UNT for whatecver UNT can pay, with the coaching situation "up in the air", etc., etc. And, gee, even before spring ball. These guys in the athletic dept. were definitely just sitting on their hands and letting all the "good ones" get away and sign with other schools. Just a touch of sarcasm there for our more "skepical" posters.

In all seriopusness, this looks to be a great hire for the Mean Green. I'm thinking good things....GO MEAN GREEN!

I believe you can now forget the 7 game minimum for Dodge to keep his job. If he wins 5 or 6, he opens the stadium. You do not invest $202,000 in a guy with an unrealistic expectation that this team has a minimum of seven wins next year. If we are competitive, and I am talking 2nd or 3rd place in conference, Dodge will open the new stadium as head coach. All of this ultimatum talk was just hot air.

Dozer, where did you hear that we offered Canales $202k?
