2025 DC Wish List
For all the decisions after that weather aided win over UTSA, a 2025 season without 9 regular seasons or a bowl game being the 9th win should get everyone but Patrick Cob fired. Like others have pointed out, being a DC under a coach on the hot seat is not likely to be a stable position attractive to DCs that are covetted. So either you bring in a DC with an extended contract as the HC in waiting or you just roll the dice with a less experienced DC. I don't this can happen, but I would like Zach Orr. I want to see a 2026 or 2027 with Patrick Cobb and Zach Orr at the helm. Either one as Head Coach and the other as Assistant HC and coordinator for their side of the ball. Eric Morris just isn't ready to be a head coach at this level. If we were still in CUSA or contending with programs like Southern Miss, La Tech, UTEP, Rice, ULM, South Alabama and Texas State it might be a different story. In AAC and above coaching, talent elevation is just too good to achieve anything significant with one side of the ball that has NOTHING it does well consistently. Hell if they could just tackle people aren't walking out early 3rd quarter. -

So what’s Jared’s football background? Besides interviewing, how would he know the best candidate to hire? EM definitely needs some input since you don’t want to have division on the team when the HC isn’t on board with the DC hire. Then again, EM had his chance. At this stage in his career, he still needs guidance. -

Chandler Morris & DT Sheffield: NIL Card Show Appearance - Come show support!
@BigWillie I got there later during the signing period, so I only saw a few obvious Mean Green fans. That included one fan who repeatedly assured me we would finish 7-5. However, I chatted with some folks and it sounded like there was a really good turnout. Apparently there was a long line of fans right at 2:00 for signatures. There was a large table area for mini helmets, and there weren't many North Texas helmets left when I bought one. That was encouraging too. -

I tend to hope so. Eric seems to have eroded the trust he originally had in terms of his decision making skills. -
