Another Committment - Defensive Back

So, Emmitt, why don't you post a comment on the kid? However, your point is well made and is simply another indication of the way some folks feel about UNT and UNT athletics in general. Even GMG.com posters. Like the students and alums of UNT wearing hat, tees, hoodies, posting Avatars, etc. with other school colors and logos on them. Where's the UNT priority? Sort of interesting at times how it works, isn't it?

I personally think this kid adds to a good class of recruits that Dodge and Co. are developing. Looks like he can play, and I do think UNT could use a couple of DB's in the class. Now, a few more big mean D and O-line guys wouldn't hurt at all either.

Go get 'em Dodge & Co. Keep 'em coming. Amazing how kids still want to sign with UNT based on the opinions of some that the whole program is in shambles, has no coaching, no players, no leadership, etc., etc., etc. You just can't figure kids these days...darn their little hides! :P Ok, sarcasm these just in case you didn't get it!

I have to admit that 8-49 against "full fledged D1A competition" over the past 5 years (3-31 over the past 3 years) does sound a little bit "shambley" to me, but I guess there's always next year. ;)

I think partly the lack of response regarding what appears to be another solid recruiting class is due to the fact that the football team has done very poorly, and people just don't want to get their hopes up again about another "good class." They've seen it before. Yes, the class looks good, but most here are at the point where they will save their enthusiasm until we start winning football games.

I would agree, but I'd also add that "good" is a relative description. And it appears that several of our SBC opponents will also have good classes this year. The recruiting season is generally one of my favorite times of the year and I can't believe how dead this board is lately. Yep, winning cures all.
